The Uno Casa wok has a wide, flat bottom which helps heat distribution and retention as you cook, no matter what cooktop you choose! The ergonomic shape ensures it rests easily on any surface and makes tossing and stirring ingredients a breeze. The shape and size of our flat bottom wok make it easier to maneuver than a round bottom wok. The removable handles make it easy to pop in the oven to keep food warm - and it can even double as a casserole dish!

 

Naturally, Non-stick & Corrosion Resistant

We coat all of our quality carbon steel woks with a surface treatment, giving them a rich deep blue tone and improving their performance. You’ll be whipping up a tasty Chinese stir fry in no time! The special surface treatment makes it highly rust-resistant and allows it to bond with oil much faster. Because of this, your wok will be more non-stick than standard or stainless steel. Our cookware is already seasoned with wax, so you can use it as soon as you give it a quick wash.

 

Quick Heating

Whether using gas or induction cookers, the thick bottom and shape of the blue Uno Casa wok ensures quick and even heating on any stovetop. Additionally, cooking on electric stovetops is a breeze, ensuring an even heat transfer to all sidewalls of our wok.     Here's a basic guide to your versatile Uno Casa carbon steel wok pan: 

  • How to use it:

    • Heat your wok for around 5 to 7 minutes.
    • Check its heat level by dropping a drop of water in. If it sizzles, you're good to go!
    • Add a bit of oil and start cooking!
  • Cleaning:

    Cleaning your wok is simple! Remove any food scraps, wash with warm soapy water, and dry well.

  • Seasoning:

    Here’s a little secret: part of the reason our wok beats the rest is seasoning. Although it’s easy to season, there’s no need to do so before you start cooking.

    Even better: using your Chinese carbon steel wok will cause it to naturally absorb oils, making it more seasoned over time.

    If you feel the need to season your metal wok, wash and dry it, coat with a thin layer of veggie oil, and bake it for an hour at 375 °F.
